I think the author chooses to give us that information early in the book because the ending might be too predictable to many people and the real thrill we get out of the book is his whole jorney.
he did it so that the book would be one big class back that can be interrupted by his own thoughts and views, if he would have ended it with him dying the book would be sad, this way it lightens the blow.
The Author choose to give us this information so early into the book is becasue like kim said he wanted to tell us how dangerous it is to live outside in the wild with nothing and trying to find your own food and shelter to survive.
he probably gave us this information early to have us think more of why he didnt make it longer and have him die by the end of the story instead of at the beginning, and so we can imagine would we think would happen further.
i don't know why he gave us this information so early in the book. but for some readers they don't like to know the ending in the beginning.. but maybe he he did that so we can keep reading..to know more about his life
i don't know maybe to see how we reacted
ReplyDeleteto give us an idea how dangerous it is to live without knowing how you're going to eat and there's nobody around to save you.
