Homework for TOMORROW (February 3rd)
What do you think of the many people in this story who seem to be living as transients or squatters? Does the freedom of their lifestyle appeal to you? Do you think they should attempt to establish stable homes and livelihoods?

i think these people are idiots! it's totally lame to think that you can live how they do, i mean what do they do for fun?
ReplyDeletei think these people need to grow up, get a job, and relies that life isn't worth living in anger. if you have an issue take it up with someone, you dont need to run off into the wild
all and all i think these people are really nothing more than hurt people who think wilderness will be their morphine

ReplyDeleteI think transients in the story seem to be very interesting people. It would be kind of cool to be one. You would get to travel. See many places. They don't have to worry and stress about common things like bills or jobs. They do, however, need to worry about a place to stay and food. I do think they should try to get a permanent home, a place they can always have. The thing that I do think they should have is a part time job. To make money to get basic things like clothing and food. If a transient likes they way he is living, who are we to tell them that their way of living is wrong and try to make them change their way of life.

ReplyDeleteThese people have a hard life because you keep on moving all the time. The lifestyle that they have doesn't appeal to me because i like a routine and a schedule. I think they should establish stable homes and liveliness because they should be with their family instead of moving all the time.
ReplyDeletei think that living transients would be different than living how i live today.. and no this lifesyle doesnt not appeal to me becuase living free and off the land isnt very ammusing for me i would like to have a job and be sucsessfull in life and have a life i love.. how can they establish homes and livehood? with no money, no insurance no nothing?? it would be diffucult but they should atleast try
ReplyDeleteI don't really like the lifestyle of the transients because they move soo much and i like to be in one place for a long time espically if i have a lot of friends there. The freedom of their lifestyle doesn't appel to me either because i don't think i could live off of the land the way they do. i agree with what kim says because if you don't stick with your family and something happens to you later on in life who do you have to help you.

staying in one place is ok for me. and how they live it looks like you can see alot of stuff and experiance good things. establish homes i dont know
ReplyDeleteyes i think he should move alot.beacause if you stay in one place it might be very boring and nothing to do..so if you more somewhere else it might be a very good spot.they should astablish livehoods because it will make them live alot better life
